Denier is defined as the unit of weight for the size of a single filament. BCF yarns are measured in denier, which is the weight in grams of 9,000 meters of yarn. The higher the denier, the thicker the yarn. Thus, a 6,000 denier yarn is twice the size (thickness) of a 3,000 denier yarn.
