In continuous heatsetting via a Suessen unit, the yarn is wound around continuously moving tapes. The tapes pass through the heat chamber, which develops twist setting and bulk properties. The heatset yarn is then wound on cones. After additional quality control checks, it is packed, weighed and shipped to the carpet mills.
