Several ends are then fed into
pin drafting machines for additional blending. The pins on the cylinders control the
movement during this process. The slivers are blended and drafted several times, with each
step through the drafting machine gradually reducing the size of the sliver. Product
uniformity is checked throughout each stage of yarn manufacturing.
